This video shows 'what happens when a Trump supporter goes to a college campus,' 2nd Amendment activist says

  • Second Amendment activist Kaitlin Bennett shared video of a group of protesters surrounding her on the campus of Ohio University.
  • Bennett said she was on campus for a "man on the street" style President's Day-themed video.

Second Amendment activist Kaitlin Bennett accused Ohio University police of having "lied" about how students reacted to her presence on campus.

The so-called Kent State "gun girl" tweeted Monday that she went to the Athens, Ohio campus to shoot a "man on the street" style video, asking students "President's Day trivia questions like 'who were the first 3 presidents.'"

"This is what happens when a Trump supporter goes to a college campus"

However, according to video footage shared by Bennett, it's unclear whether she even got to ask questions.  Footage shared by Bennett, taken from inside a vehicle, shows a swarm of individuals surrounding the vehicle holding up their middle fingers and throwing liquids.

"This is what happens when a Trump supporter goes to a college campus," Bennett tweeted, claiming that "leftists...started a riot."

OU police were quick to push back on that claim, tweeting out "contrary to allegations circulating on social media, the incident did not rise to the level of a riot. There was strong language, and allegations that some unknown person(s) splashed water but there were no reported injured or violence and no one was arrested during the event."

"They threw projectiles and poured hot coffee on us," Bennett tweeted in response.

"But yeah, just 'some unknown person in the crowd splashed water,'" she added.
